STOCK 2T0TES. The Elko (Nov.') Independent! says "gentle spring" Las arrived. The cattle inspectors have been doing good work through Colorado this winter. Golprado papers say that winter :has broken and cattle are loosing .remarkably well. Buyers of young cattle are swar ming in Utah and that grade are bringing excellent prices. The Hand Spring Ranch and stock, near Las -Animas, Col., has been sold by P. G-. Scott for $25, " 000. The spring round-up will com mence in Idaho about the first of April. So says the Darlington Transporter. Governor Pierce, of Dakota, will engage in the stock business when relieved of official duties by the newjadministration. The Raton Comet says that the range cattle in northern New Mex ico are in splendid condition, and that the loss this year will be noth ing to speak of.
