Often The Kldneys Are Weakened by Over-Work, Unhealthy Kidneys Make Impure Blood. It used to be considered that only urinary and bladder troubles were to be traced to the kidneys, but now modern science proves that nearly all diseases have their berinnin in the disorder of these most important organs. The kidneys filter and purify the blood that is their work. IMMIGRATION FROM SOUTH EXPECTED U. S. FARMERS ARE RECOGNIZING 8PL %NDID OPPORTUNIT[ES OFFERED BY WESTERN CANADA. St. Paul, Minn., Feb. 9, 1908.-Pres. eant indications are that the Canadian Northwest will draw an exceptionally heavy movement of new settlers from the United States this year. It should surpass the banner record for 1907. This is not only based on the fact that the Americans have come to realize generally that the Canadian Northwest offers splendid opportuni. ties, but also because the railroads have awakened to the fact and are offering rates to the Canadian North west which are exceptionally favor able. The lines which lead to St. Paul from the east and south are offering homeseekers' rates to the Canadian Northwest this year which are on a parity with those in existence to the southwest for a couple of seasons. These rates can be obtained from any agent of the Canadian govern ment, who will be pleased to give all Information possible regarding those districts which o...

CLIMATE IS IDEAL GREAT WEALTH ACQUIRED IN GROWING GRAIN. Writing from Saskatoon, Saskatche wan, Canada, W. H. Ellwanger, who was formerly a resident of Green Mountain, Iowa, says: "The climate in summer is ideal for growing grain. Long, clear days of sunshine, no bad storms. We never need to guard against cyclones; I never saw a better climate in my life. We made more money during the season of 1906 than any previous five years in central Iowa--one of the best districts in the state." But Mr. Ellwanger was a resi. dent of the town, and it might be more interesting to read what a farmer has to say about Western Canada. From hundreds of letters all filled with words of praise, recounting success in Western Canada there has been one selected. It is as follows: Paynton, Sask., Canada, Dec. 10th, 1907. To Whom This May Concern: I moved to this address February 3, 1907, from Montgomery, Iowa, and took a homestead 35 miles north of Paynton. It was cold when I moved here but it did not stay...
