C.White, Of Mexico, was run against by negro man ear ryingehod. Thit caused tome angry words. The negro, II it laid, also Ihrew a brick, wh en Mr. White drew en unloaded pistol end knocked bim down. He went of, end shortly after return ed armed with a pUtol and knife, swearing that he would "kilt ft hite before night, or any other d d white man that Interfered with bim that day." He was thereupon arrested and fined ten dollara and cost, for disturbing the peace. This only exasperated the fellow, who roamed through the streets threatening "that no such d d rebel as White could lire In the tame State with him." Borne time during the day Mr. White shot the ne ero, killing him instantly. He then surrendered bimtelf to the proper authorities.
