Had Been Drinking and Was Thought to Be Temporarily Insane Will Probably Recover. About 12 o'clock last uigbt a mu giving his name as V. leOM came into the waiting room of the Clitf lodging house and engaged a room, and after sitting fur some time as if in doubt what to do finally said he would go to bed. He started up stairs several times but would hesitate and start back. He finally went into his room and in about three minutes an other man who . . ,vupying a bed in the same room came to the stairs and said the fellow had just attempted suicide. An officer was sent for and the man was found lying on the floor with his throat badly cut and a large pocket knife by his side with which he had done the deed. THE MEXICAN WITH SCKEI FACE Sheriff Roberts Returns With Suspects. ersonal Appearance Tallies Exactly With Description of Goddard Murderers. Sheriff Joe Roberts came up on this morning's train from the south with the two Mexicans arrested at Naco and who are lielieved to the murderers of Charles E. Goddard and Frank Cox some time since. The men were arrested by a deputy of Billy Blankenshiji who had to use a little diplomacy to get tnem across the line. The men in question fit the descrip tion sent out of the murderers to a dot. The names gireu by them are Francisco Kanteria and Elijo Hidalgo. The scar on the face of one of them is exactly as described as is the kinky hair and charateristics of the other, mustache. weight, age. etc.. tallies ex actly with the man who did the shoot ing. Gus Heynian is in town again on his periodical visit. Archie Grant has gone to the Verde valley to do some work. Secretary 1. T. Stoddard came up from Pheuix this morning. Bob Irvine the clothing and shirt maker, left for California this morn ing. Mr. and Mrs, T. E. Campbell of Jerome, have returned from their visit east. Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Hrandou are expected home tomorrow from their visit to Los Angeles. Judge Sloan will hold a term of court at Flagstaff commencing a week from Monday. April 13. Chief Engineer Drake, of the S. F.
